Do you have a passion for buying and a keen eye for quality shirts? As our Teamlead Buyer Shirts, you’ll play a crucial, senior role in crafting and managing our shirt collections across PME Legend, Cast Iron, and Vanguard. Reporting to the Buying and Sourcing Manager, you’ll partner with Product Development and key teams to bring collections to market that strike the right balance between style, quality, sustainability, and profitability. What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you’ll act as the central point for all shirt buying related data—from sourcing strategy , allocation plans to risk management , pricing and deliveries. You'll set the tone for collaboration across the teams, balancing deadlines, setting priorities, supporting our ESG goals alongside Corporate Responsibility, all while keeping an eye on the bottom line. - Driving Purchasing Strategy: Take charge of purchasing shirt collections by aligning style and annual plans with our margin, sustainability, and sourcing targets.
- Critical Path Management: Manage the critical path for Buying , ensuring that timelines are met and potential delays are identified early.
- Risk Management: Work closely with the Product Development Coordinator on allocation plans and risk mitigation.
- Supplier Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships by meeting suppliers in person, negotiating pricing, reviewing performance, and ensuring quality.
- Quality & Technical : Own the approval process for sample quality , collaborating closely with suppliers and inspection partners to ensure our quality standards are consistently met.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Track reporting and KPIs across the product group using data from our PLM and ERP , systems to keep everyone aligned and informed.
YOU BRING- Experience & Skills: At least 8 years of relevant experience, an HBO level education or equivalent, and proficiency in Navision, Office, and PLM software like Delogue.
- Shirt Buying Expertise: Experience in shirt buying, from Asia and near-shore sources.
- Costing Knowledge: Good understanding of bottom-up costing processes.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
- Technical & Analytical Savvy: A solid understanding of fit and technical production processes, with strong skills in data analysis and KPI reporting.
- Can-Do Attitude: A proactive mindset with a passion for learning and collaboration.
- On-Site Availability: At least 4 days a week at our head office.
- Right to Work: Authorized to work in the Netherlands.
