For a large international FMCG company, we are looking for an experienced interim global business developer who will be responsible for evaluation and project management of potential growth opportunities. This role will involve a blend of strategic planning, market analysis, partnership development, and leadership in M&A.
Based in the Amsterdam area, this position will last for roughly 9 months.

- Advise global and regional teams, partnering with the M&A corporate team to support and guide local M&A and partnership processes;
- Lead the strategic rationale and opportunity assessment for inorganic growth opportunities, including acquisitions and partnerships, by developing detailed business cases and evaluating potential value, risks, and returns;
- Identify and assess investment opportunities in emerging companies and start-ups, with a focus on North America and Asia;
- Conduct primary and secondary market research to evaluate the merit of potential acquisition or partnership targets;
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap outlining strategic options (build, buy, partner, or alternative business models) to capture prioritized growth opportunities;
- Manage and coordinate inorganic projects, acting as the primary project manager to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives;
- Lead the development of the New Business strategic roadmap, identifying new business segments and market expansion opportunities;
- Define evaluation criteria and guide the strategic prioritization process for growth initiatives;
- Assess synergy potential and the overall value of partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic growth initiatives.

Functie eisen
* Strong background in corporate finance, research, and program management, with experience in due diligence;* Experience in managing sensitive information and teams under NDA's;
* Proven ability to prepare and deliver presentations to executives and senior management;
* Advanced skills in Excel for financial analysis and PowerPoint for management presentations;
* Experience preparing high-quality reports, including financial models and synergy projections;
* Prior experience in management consulting, portfolio development, or financial services is preferred;
* Fluent in English Required.
