We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join our team to work on the Core Product Level of our new TU Delft Repository. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, library staff, Education, Heritage, and Archive Domains to create wireframes/designs for the Version 2 release planned for July 2025. The UX Designer will report to the Coordinator of the Infrastructure team.

who are you

A strong understanding of Lean UX principles in Agile environments, knowledge of university and library services, particularly in how researchers engage with online platforms, and familiarity with Scrum are highly desirable. You will also advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.

  • Ability to conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user personas, user journeys, and wire frames that align with the projects' goals and user needs.
  • Build Minimal Marketable Feature (MMF), Design User Workflows with story maps, perform A/B testing, setup and review user surveys, and evaluate User Analytics
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes and design mock-ups using industry-standard tools.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing results.
what will you do

The next version focuses on the author uploading content and a depositor dashboard, expanding the system by adding more content categories and types, improving find ability, designing community pages, and showcasing content and profiles.

Day to day work for the UX Designer will be interviewing respository stakeholders from all faculties at TU Delft, whatever their level of career. S/he will also work with academic services across the university campus, understanding what the academic needs to store and showcase in alignment with the next version goals listed above. The UX Designer will then develop ideas and specific design to test and embed within the repository

  • Expanding the system by adding more content categories and types.
  • Designing community pages.
  • Showcasing content and profiles.
