Independent Recruiters has been exclusively appointed to handle the recruitment for the restaurant team. Therefore, we are looking for a Sous Chef!

De Plesman, in March 2025, this new hotel and restaurant concept will open in Scheveningen, The Hague. Housed in this iconic building where dunes, forest, city, and beach converge, it features 100 hotel rooms, a lobby/bar, the restaurant Suus, and a deli. Independent Recruiters has been exclusively appointed to handle the recruitment for the restaurant team. Therefore, we are looking for a Sous Chef!

In this position you will focus on:

  • Overseeing the compliance with regulations in the areas of safety, working conditions (Arbo), HACCP, and work and presentation methods;
  • Actively participating with preparing dishes;
  • Guiding new employees and interns/students;
  • Contributing to changes/updates of the menu and the development of recipes, garnishes, etc.;
  • Making suggestions to the Head Chef based on daily practice and/or market signals regarding products/dishes as well as work processes

What do you bring?

* You have 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar role. You'll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel;
* Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays;
* You speak English fluently;
* You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague.
