What we offer with a full-time job:
- Salary: between €2800 and €3500 per month.
- Tips: On average €700 in cash per month.
- Travel allowance: from 10 km up to a maximum of €250 per month.
- Growth opportunities: to become a head chef.
- Pension plan.
- Holiday pay: 8%.
- Vacation days: 26 per year.

What will you be doing?
As a Sous Chef at The Seafood Bar, you are the right hand of the Head Chef and the foundation of our kitchen team. You ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, from filleting fresh fish to preparing delicious dishes. You lead your team, maintain quality, and inspect the delivered products. You’re involved in cost management, create the schedules, and support the training and development of your colleagues. You play a key role in delivering top-quality food and an exceptional experience for our guests.
Who are you?
- You have experience in managing a kitchen and leading a team.
- You are available for 40 hours a week, including weekdays and weekends.
- You speak and write fluent Dutch or English.
- You live in or near Amsterdam.
- You know hygiene and food safety regulations (HACCP).
- You have a passion for seafood and deep knowledge of it.
- You’re a strong communicator, a true team player, and stay calm under pressure.
- You have an eye for detail and a great sense of responsibility.

In addition to lunch and dinner, you can now also visit our exclusive Speakeasy bar, Zum Barbarossa, where we serve flavorful cocktails and snacks, and on weekends, a DJ sets the mood and people dance.
