Do you want to play a key role in global logistics at a leading high-tech company? Do you have a passion for international shipping and the skills to optimize complex supply chain processes? Then this Shipping Manager role at Vanderlande is perfect for you!

Your Role as Shipping Manager
As a Shipping Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing global shipping plans for our projects. With your expertise in ocean freight (80%), air freight (15%), and road transport (5%), you ensure that our products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively to customers worldwide. You will oversee global projects from the sales phase to execution and manage a team of forwarding officers.

You will be based in Veghel, with occasional travel (maximum 5% of your time). Working alongside two fellow Shipping Managers, you will prepare shipping projects and report to the Manager Forwarding, Contracting & Routing.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Develop the best shipping strategies in collaboration with project management, supply chain, and procurement.
• Advise on and negotiate transport and packaging costs while conducting risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with international trade and transport regulations.
• Optimize inbound transport flows from external suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement, KPI tracking, and sustainability within the department.
• Monitor projects, analyze performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Contribute to the transportation strategy, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and innovation.
• Maintain and expand relationships with logistics partners and suppliers.
• Lead, coach, and motivate your team to achieve the best results.
• Identify improvement opportunities and optimize shipping processes.

What Do You Bring?

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
• Experience and passion for international logistics and transportation, especially knowledge of oceach freight logistics is an advantage. 
• Excellent stakeholder management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of incoterms, export documentation, and customs regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Negotiation skills and a keen eye for cost efficiency.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal (Dutch is a plus).
