We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Section Builder / Steelworker to join our team in the ship repair industry. This is a hands-on position requiring precision, strength, and in-depth knowledge of ship construction and steelwork. You will be involved in the disassembly, modification, and reassembly of ship sections, following detailed technical drawings.
Proven experience in shipbuilding or ship repair as a section builder or steelworker.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Proficient in steel cutting, bending, and alignment techniques.
Skilled in welding (at least capable of tack welding).
Able to work independently and with a high degree of precision.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cutting and burning steel plates from ship structures based on technical drawings.
Bending, aligning, and preparing plates for further assembly.
Tack welding and fitting steel plates and profiles.
Checking and verifying fit-ups and dimensions according to specifications.
Working independently from technical drawings.
Performing basic welding tasks (tack welding at a minimum).
Proven experience in shipbuilding or ship repair as a section builder or steelworker.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Proficient in steel cutting, bending, and alignment techniques.
Skilled in welding (at least capable of tack welding).
Able to work independently and with a high degree of precision.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Monthly gross pay between €2950 and €3500, depanding on experience. Also ZZP is possible, hourly rate to be decided.
