This retail organization with 100+ associates and an office in Amsterdam is looking for a Senior Accountant, who will be responsible for providing accurate, timely, and insightful information on performance, as well as assist in the strategic planning of the organization. This is a temporary role for 9 months and you will be on a fixed term contract with our client.

As a Senior Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking control of forecasts and budgets for both profit and loss and balance sheets across each entity;
- Acting as the finance lead for EMEA retail inventory and goods in transit reconciliations;
- Being the finance lead in year-end audits, financial statement preparation, and external reporting across each entity;
- Full ownership of profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reviews, and month-end accounting (prepayment, accruals) across several European entities;
- Providing commentary on retail performance within each entity to the DTC Retail Finance Manager and business leads to inform commercial decision-making;
- Assisting in the preparation of retail monthly business review packs;
- Acting as the key point of contact with external advisors for corporation tax preparation;
- Providing management information, KPI analysis, and ad hoc requests to business partners, delivering insights to drive both short-term results and long-term strategic plans;
- Assisting the EMEA Management and Commercial Accounts team as necessary on both day-to-day tasks, new system implementations, and any new projects.
The salary range for this position will be between €5000-€6000 gross per month, based on skillset and experience. We will also be happy to tell you more about the fringe benefits in a personal interview.

Functie eisen
* 2+ years of working experience as a post-qualified professional (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / RA / AA or accounting equivalent);* Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or other relevant field;
* Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment;
* Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to pick up new IT systems quickly;
* Experience in Retail/Ecommerce/DTC environments preferred but not required;
* English language proficiency required.
