The Risk Officer we seek is an experienced professional who wants to play a crucial role in optimally managing Schiphol's risks and measures. How you achieve results in this? That’s up to you. We trust that you are very precise. You put your talents to work at:

  • Supporting Schiphol Group's ambition to further develop and improve its risk management.
  • Guiding risk management across various Schiphol departments, ensuring it becomes an explicit element of the decision-making process.
  • Promoting improvements in processes and controls at both operational and corporate levels, working closely with directors and senior managers.
  • Aggregating risks and articulating them in senior management and board reports.
  • Educating and focusing on the critical aspects of the various business areas within Schiphol.


Daily Work

You will engage daily with variety of stakeholders to identify and evaluate risks and measures. You will collaborate with colleagues in the risk team to gain group-wide risk insights and work with various departments to provide insights and advice on the measures taken to manage departmental risks. Within the risk team, you will leverage your experiences to create the most efficient risk management process possible and draw from your knowledge to advise departments. Through well-crafted reports, you review, discuss and action with senior management the status of risk management. This way, your work is diverse. Operating on strategic, tactical, and operational levels, contributing to the realization of Schiphol’s ambitious goals.

  • An operational, financial and/or IT (control) background. 
You get this
  • € 5552 to € 7803 gross per month (Schaal 14).
  • A 13th month (year-end bonus).
  • The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
  • Participation in the ABP pension fund.
