Invest International opened its doors in October 2021, in The Hague. They are a state-owned company set-up by the Dutch government. A private company funded with public capital. They are a new organization and are continuously developing.


All over the world the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals must be achieved. To live up to this enormous challenge Invest International explores and facilitates tailored project development and investment arrangements that allow new business opportunities to arise. 


Apart from having at heart sustainable growth in-country and overseas, Invest International also supports the development of their employees as well as their flexibility in how they best deliver their work. The scale-up phase the organization will be in, will allow for a steep learning curve for those who take the initiative to pick up projects and opportunities within the growing organization.

Functieomschrijving

The Reporting Specialist (RS) will further strengthen and improve the Statutory reporting function within the organization. Besides that, he or she will manage the statutory reporting activities and ensure that all reporting requirements for the 7 administrations will be applied.

You will be part of a team of 15 persons in the Finance & Procurement Department, which is responsible for all control, accounting, procurement, audit, treasury and tax activities, and jointly cooperates to attain the roadmap and timelines set.

The reporting line is into the Director Finance and Procurement, who reports into the CFRO.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the various financial audits, both IFRS Annual accounts, Annual report, and audits based on NVCOS805 and NVCOS4400.

• Maintain and improve the IFRS compliancy, both in financial reporting ex post, as ex ante in deal-decision making (e.g. deal due diligence, SPPI tests, IFRS 9 consequences)

• Manage and prepare the consolidation of the financial statements, the Annual report and the standalone annual accounts;

• Prepare and manage the bi-yearly reporting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, based on the audit protocol.

• Manage the company’s tax governance and integrity, responsible for tax compliance together with tax consultants.

• Drive the coming External Audit tender (Q3 Q4 2024) together with Procurement.

• Team member of the CSRD and EU taxonomy project group.

• Future Team member of the integrated enterprise project group.

• Support and cooperate in the monthly and or quarterly reporting cycle of the control team.

• Work positively and pro-actively together with the other Controllers.


Functie-eisen

• Master’s degree in relevant field.

• A solid background in financial control and auditing, Experience as an auditor, previously working for an audit firm, is a plus.

• Knowledge of IFRS; knowledge about subsidies, grants, governmental financing, and CSRD/Eu taxonomy is a pro.

• Ability to build-up the reporting function with a tactical view and hands-on approach.

• Strong capabilities in applying business initiatives, Investment Committee decisions into accounting requirements.

• Ability to understand new environments swiftly and tailor the financial processes.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
