We are looking for a detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with product teams to ensure compliance with regulations and standards throughout the development process.

In this assignment, your key responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Engage with Product Developers and Technical Project Leaders from the inception of projects to navigate the regulatory landscape, aiming to develop innovative products with strong value propositions and claims;
- Ensure that all products adhere to internal policies as well as local regulatory standards and legislation, guaranteeing compliance at every step;
- Continuously monitor and assess relevant regulatory requirements and applicable food legislation to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the legal framework;
- Partner with external regulatory organizations to provide essential regulatory guidance for various projects, ensuring that all aspects meet compliance standards;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, External Affairs, Quality, Packaging, and Procurement, to address inquiries and concerns raised by regulatory authorities, customers, and suppliers;
- Review and validate all communication materials to ensure they meet regulatory standards and accurately reflect product information.
This assignment, located in Wageningen, will last for 5 months with the possibility of extension. This will be a temporary flex contract, and salary/additional benefits will be discussed in the initial interview.

Functie eisen
In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have:* A degree in food science, food technology, food chemistry, or a related discipline;
* Extensive international experience within the food industry;
* In-depth understanding and proficiency regarding EU food regulations and legislation;
* Strong interpersonal abilities, allowing for effective collaboration and teamwork;
* Exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken English;
* A proactive, solution-focused approach and adept problem-solving capabilities.
