This is a unique opportunity to take the first step on your professional career while working as a Nurse in The Netherlands and enjoying great working environment and financial conditions.
We are looking for a male registered nurse (tall, strong and a non-smoker) to manage the daily caretaking chores of our client, a patient with Duchenne Muscular Distrophy. The candidate must be a pleasant and a social person who can make the difference to the daily well-being and healthcare of the client. The candidate has to be excited about working in the centre of Amsterdam and meeting new people (the client´s friends and students). The candidate will work 36/40 hours a week but will have enough spare time for himself to rest, or explore the city of Amsterdam.

Sobre o trabalhoThe client, a 34-year-old male living in central Amsterdam on Prinsengracht Street, has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This genetic disorder causes progressive muscle loss, necessitating assistance with personal care, transfers, and the use of medical equipment like a ventilator and stomach pump. Despite these challenges, he leads an active social life and enjoys activities with friends and caregivers. The nurse will be involved in daily tasks, social activities, and must possess basic knowledge of Duchenne's disease and lifting techniques. Duties may also include cooking, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment.
Requisitos- Nursing diploma;
- Physically fit;
- Basic knowledge of/and experience with characteristics of Duchenne´s disease;
- Knowledge about stomach pump is required;
- Be in possession of a driving license is an advantage;
- Good command of the English language;
- European passport and/or identity card;
- Spanish speaking skills (if not Spanish);
- Available for a longer period of time.
- 36/40 hours a week contract;
- Competitive salary according to collective labour agreement (FWG 40) of € 17,70 gross/hour (ca. € 2.548 gross/month);
- You can choose to live in the same house with the client, but in your own private apartment or in one of the company´s houses in Lienen;
- A stable job/contract;
- Specific trainings if necessary.
