Context of the position
Our mission is to support and strengthen technology development by ensuring and improving Quality Control, reducing risks, driving Improvement and Quality Assurance providing insight on D&E processes and deliverables with a predictable outcome. With a continuous growing demand for faster delivery of latest technology, good Quality and reliability becomes more and more challenging. This means that the quality of our products must increase. These products can be hardware combined with software (like the YieldStar) or software only (e.g. BaseLiner). We do this by monitoring and driving product Quality through the complete process from idea to customer acceptance (Quality control), securing process adherence and implement lessons learned (Quality assurance) and continuously improve our WoW (Quality improvement).
The position is part of Business Line Applications, Business Unit Metrology & Patterning Control, Development & Engineering. The Q Manager will be a member in projects and will participate in the DE AP Q team meeting of Quality Managers, to align the quality improvement projects and facilitate leverage with Q activities in the rest of ASML.
The Q manager will report (solid line) to the Cluster Quality Manager of the AP DE Cluster, and dotted line to one of the Program Development Managers within the Business Unit MPC.

Job Mission:
An ASML machine contains many standardized mechanical components, of which the design is not owned or controlled by ASML.
Among these components basically 3 major subcategory are defined:
· Fluid Power components, such as fittings, tubes, pumps, purifiers, valves
· Fasteners & Adhesives, such bolts, rivets, screws, inserts, pins, glues, lubricants & chemicals
· Mechanical and optical components, like, linear and rotary motion, handles, brackets, caps, plugs and some optical components.

Role and responsibilities:
- You will be part of the mechanical component engineering team within ASML.
- You will create and maintain the vendor components in the related databases, mainly responsible for a sub-category of components, however you will also learn from other component groups
- Based on your technical and soft skills you are able to support project engineers in component selection.
- You are able to investigate all relevant information and compare the component specifications with both the requirements coming from a certain design, as well as with our general ASML requirements
- You are able to present your findings to different levels in the organization
- You are able to perform under changing priorities with a high frequency of interrupts as well as being creative in finding solutions
- You operate as a linking pin in NPI (New Product Introduction) processes within the ASML organization and the associated manufacturers where you lead the technical activities and communication with the manufacturer
- You support the End-of-life teams while assessing alternative solutions for components that are not produced or supplied anymore
- You will assist in the investigation of PFAS containing the vendor components and aim for securing the PFAS free alternatives for the same.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Primary employment conditions:
- A monthly salary up to €5500
- A 13th month payment, pro-rated periodically
- 8.33% holiday allowance calculated on 12 monthly salaries
Secondary employment conditions:
- Pension Plus scheme (build-up from day 1)
- 5% ADV allowance
- Net €750,- to set up your home workplace
- 25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours
- Travel allowance
- Internet allowance
- Home working allowance
