For the Business Area Northern Europe (BeNeLux, UK & IE, and the Nordics), we are seeking a Product Manager Interior. This role involves overseeing product development, marketing strategies and comprehensive support initiatives. Responsibilities include analyzing and adapting to market dynamics, acting as a crucial liaison between R&D and market demands, and ensuring precise product positioning in line with current market conditions. Furthermore, take the lead in crafting and implementing strategic business plans, delivering precise forecasts, and spearheading efforts to uphold product quality and ensure successful launches. Serving as a pivotal liaison, provide invaluable support to both the market and the organization, oversee crucial product-related affairs, and meticulously monitor performance through comprehensive reporting.

Functie eisen
Product Development (support):
- Analyse & react to changes in the (local) market;
- Act as spokesperson to R&D functions on product requirements and specifications based on (local) market situations;
Product Marketing:
- Feedback & anticipate customer acceptance, needs & preferences;
- Define the optimal product positioning by taking into account the market conditions (competitors, price levels, product mix, route to market, and product placement) and the internal relative product positioning;
- Create, advocate and support execution of realistic business plans and propositions;
- Issue price recommendations;
- Provide accurate forecast information for timely product availability;
- Keep track of competitive activity and translate in to actions;
- Ensure compliance with the Somfy quality product standards and drive a successful product launch;
Market-Centric Product Strategy:
- Proactively gather and translate market feedback into actionable insights for R&D;
- Assess market demands, identify sales opportunities and strive to play a prominent role in executing the sales
- strategy of key accounts;
- Bridge the gap between product strategy and customer needs by actively engaging with sales, posing critical questions, and validating market insights;
- Analyze market dynamics to ascertain the optimal pricing strategy for maximizing revenue and margin. Achieve this by benchmarking and positioning our product portfolio in alignment with market needs.
Sales Collaboration:
- Identify collaboration opportunities with the sales team to optimize product launches and drive revenue growth. Work closely with sales to gain insights into customer needs and market dynamics, adjusting the product strategy accordingly;
- Collaborates with the Marketing Manager PRO to create sales promotion programs and incentives to enhance product acceptance and boost revenue;
- Collaborates with the Marketing Manager and Channel Directors to boost sales through the Sales Channels. Focuses on the needs and preferences of the customer segment. Ensures the sales department has tailored tools and materials for customer interaction based on specific customer segmentation;
- Drives continuous improvement through a feedback loop, starting by actively listening to sales, validating customer inputs, assessing competitors, and creating briefs with sales team input.
Product Support:
- Support the market & organization with product knowledge & information;
- Keep the organization informed of all product related developments and be the main point of contact for all
- product related issues and actions to be taken (2nd line complaint handling);
- Acts as the main contact to HQ in case of structural quality issues. Has responsibility in taking the decision on how to deal with the Quality issue.
- Ensure highest quality collection and distribution of product information;
- Be the product champion within the organization, including training the trainers, conducting field visits & provide
- assistance where needed and is involved in fairs & events;
Product Reporting:
- Monitor performance against business plan, react to deviations, identify and suggest corrective actions where needed;
- Enable product performance transparency down to the product level;
- Keep track and communicate product sales-in and sales-out performance;
- Support Channel Marketing Managers with Marketing Tracking Process input (1 x per year).
