For Payments & Settlements Services (PSS) we are looking for a Product Area Lead Order Management & Swift.
Payments are indispensable to and an integral part of our lives as individuals, as businesses and to our organisation. ING’s Payment and Settlement Services (“PSS”) is a professional services provider in payments, settlements, and open banking. PSS is building a global payments platform to consolidate all of ING’s payments volumes resulting in cost-efficiency for ING and a more strengthened and centralised control environment for payments.
PSS is an independent unit within ING’s CTO domain, reporting directly into ING’s Chief Technology Officer. PSS is a Business Services oriented organisation. To deliver on our ambitious roadmap, we have organised ourselves into a strong strategic and commercially focused organisation around our services.
- You are business owner of the Order Management and Swift services and solutions. You are responsible for designing, developing & operating the solutions for our clients allowing them to stay a step ahead in life and business
- You are reporting to the Head of Products and a member of the PSS Product MT. Managing a team of approx. 30 Product professionals
- You are responsible for the financials, risk, portfolio management, delivery roadmap, service set up, professionalization, strategy, external market view of your services and as such supporting the Head of Products in the responsibility to manage the Products overall
- You are responsible with your Product Leads for the portfolio management of your area eg Dynamic Plan, QBR and priority setting, Service review meetings on run and change
- You offer payment solutions by seamless integration into the value chain of our clients and by connecting it with other internal and external capabilities
- You ensure our license to operate by secure and flawless 24/7 operations while ensuring regulatory compliance
- You take ownership of large change initiatives within this domain, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with strategic goals
- You strengthen the “ING way of working” while safeguarding our Orange Behavior e as a role model
- You stimulate cross-border interaction between people, tribes, squads and chapters (within and outside your own Product Area)
- You facilitate, support and motivate the product teams in your area. You formulate a clear purpose for your Product Area based on the client and product strategy and (changing) market conditions and are responsible for delivering on the tribe purpose
- You are accountable for executing risk & control compliancy and mitigation of business and operational risks
- You ensure regulatory compliance across your entire Product Area
- You are organizational sensitive and build strong relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders including service recipients like Wholesale Bank and Retail countries like DBNL/BE/DE/IT and external stakeholders like e.g. Swift
- You strive for open and transparent communication within your Product Area. You stimulate the interaction between people within and outside their own domain and build high performance teams
- You are responsible for the alignment and cooperation with the other Product Areas, Tech and Ops
- You are expected to represent ING at various industry forums and conferences (or delegate representation) and to meet clients, both to represent ING on their Product Area as well as collate relevant industry-related trends and information, to be used in the course of carrying out their role
- You are the hierarchical manager of the Product Leads in your area and build the craftsmanship of the Product Leads in your team in line with the strategy of the Tribe and Area

- Master’s degree
- 10+ years’ experience on a senior position in payments
- Proven track record in product, marketing and/or program management
- Sound experience in building multiyear strategic roadmaps and delivering on them
- Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in representing an organisation like ING in an industry body / governance

- A salary indication of 8..272 EUR based on 36 hours per week, excluding benefits, tailored to your qualities and experience in global job grade 20
- 40 hour workweek
- Individual leave: 24+2 individual holiday days based on 36 hr workweek
