Tricks of the trade
  • Salary whisperer – Ensure our team gets paid smoothly every four weeks by reviewing, approving, and managing salary payments.
  • Tech-savvy innovator – Work on process improvements, support homegrown payroll solutions, and integrate automation to make our system smarter and more scalable.
  • Payroll accounting pro – Prepare and execute payroll accounting for Picnic’s employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • HR & Finance connector – Keep payroll data up-to-date, including new hires, promotions, and salary adjustments. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders like payroll providers, finance teams, and HR.
  • Employee champion – Handle pension registrations, sick pay processing, and social security communications (UWV) to support our colleagues.
Your superpowers
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR or similar field
  • 1-4 years of experience in Payroll, payments, HR, or finance
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets (bonus points for VBA or JavaScript knowledge!)
  • A meticulous and responsible approach to work—you triple-check the details!
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and communicate payment progress effectively
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Experience with an HCM system is a plus!
