Parts Quality Process Improvement Engineer

ASML is een Nederlands hightechbedrijf en een van de belangrijkste leveranciers van machines voor de halfgeleiderindustrie, in het bijzonder steppers en scanners, die worden gebruikt bij het maken van chips. Klanten zijn veelal chipproducenten. Het hoofdkantoor en bedrijvencomplex van ASML staat in Veldhoven, waar zowel research and development en assemblage in cleanrooms plaatsvindt. Het bedrijf heeft tevens zestig servicepunten in veertien landen ter ondersteuning van de plaatsing en levering van machines en reserve-onderdelen.

ASML is ontstaan uit een joint venture van ASM International en Koninklijke Philips. ASML levert wereldwijd, maar de meeste van haar klanten zijn gevestigd in Azië. In 2011 werd 66% van de omzet in die regio behaald, 25% in de Verenigde Staten en iets minder dan 9% in Europa. De grootste klant was verantwoordelijk voor een kwart van de totale omzet. De belangrijkste leverancier van ASML is Zeiss, een fabrikant van lenzen en optische componenten. Het aandeel van Zeiss in de totale inkoopkosten van ASML is iets minder dan 30%. Vanwege de grote wederzijdse belangen zijn beide bedrijven een strategisch alliantie aangegaan; deze kan alleen verbroken worden als een van de partijen drie jaar te voren opzegt. Job Mission

You, as a Quality Engineer within the DE PI Reliability department, will be responsible to analyze, identify and drive towards improvement of parts quality processes. The scope is to improve our parts quality by analyzing field issues and use your expertise and communicative skills to enable preventive actions and introduce cross-sector process improvements.

You interact with many other people across all sectors and D&E departments.

Job Description

You will set up, drive and implement the future Way of Working regarding parts quality together with stakeholders in different sectors of ASML.

As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

• Perform data analytics to identify common root causes of parts that failed & secure follow up of improvements.
  • Make sure the root causes of issues are understood and can be linked to ASML processes or product failures
  • Initiate and drive process improvements to reduce and/or prevent Dead on Arrivals (DoA’s), Parts Usage and improve part failure investigation efficiency.
• Align with project leaders which parts and processes need improvements and secure high quality analysis and improvement actions to prevent failures.
• Interact with project leads and engineers of Development & Engineering, Customer Support, Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics and Manufacturing for continuous improvement.

Content Related:

• Ensure the improvement initiatives will lead to the optimum quality and cost of non-quality.
• Ensure the improvement initiatives will reduce our Parts Quality targets.

Education

• Bachelor/ Master Degree in a technical area, such as Business Administration, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Optics/Physics, Data Analytics.

Experience

We are looking for people who:

• Have 3-5 years’ experience in multidisciplinary projects
• Have experience in organizing activities/projects with multiple stakeholders
• Have a proven track record in realizing cross sector improvements related to quality, cost reduction, industrialization, serviceability, manufacturability, availability, reliability, or related to these topics
• Have experience in Change Management / Lean
• Preferably have experience with ASML products

Primary employment conditions

• A monthly salary up to €5000
• A 13th month payment, pro-rated periodically
• 8.33% holiday allowance calculated on 12 monthly salaries
