  • Completed MBO or HBO education in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology (or equivalent);
  • 1-3 years of experience in a biotechnological or biopharmaceutical environment as an operator or willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written, and full-time availability.
what will you do

Depending on your knowledge and experience, you will work in one of three departments. Employees are sought for the Upstream Processing, Downstream Processing, and Fill & Finish departments. The USP department grows cells and infects them with a virus. The DSP department purifies the cells using various techniques. The Fill & Finish department fills the product and prepares it for freezing and storage.

  • Installation and operation of new equipment, writing breakdown sheets for training and work instructions;
  • Performing daily tasks and support activities according to a schedule;
  • Process and documentation activities;
  • Identifying process deviations, spotting and solving process gaps, and training operators;
  • Continuous improvement of work processes and procedures.
where will you work

Project Pollux is the construction of a new Janssen Supply Chain Lentiviral Vector (LVV) production facility in Sassenheim, which will be established as a new business unit for Janssen Biologics. This facility is intended to become a key supply option for commercial LVV to support Janssen's global program for multiple myeloma, a disease that affects 160,000 patients annually.
