JUST THE JOB
· Select and purchase products based on Buyer strategy, sales forecasts, market trends, and consumer insights, ensuring the right mix of products across categories.
· Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to inform buying decisions and identify opportunities for reorders or markdowns.
· Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and sales trends, sharing insights with the Manager and cross-functional teams.
· Use data to forecast future product demand and adjust buying and allocation strategies accordingly.
· Support the Manager in managing the budget for merchandise purchasing and ensure that inventory levels align with sales forecasts and business objectives
· Identify opportunities to improve the buying and allocation process, proposing and implementing solutions to increase efficiency.
· Work closely with the Manager, Allocator and cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve communication between departments.
· Ensure that pricing and markdown strategies align with business goals and customer expectations.
THE TEAM
You will be part of a small team of 4 specialists, who work closely together in a fast paced environment. The team is part of a larger BTC team of over 50 people. We look out for each other and aim to improve our processes daily.
YOUR PROFILE
· Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in merchandise buying, planning, or allocation within a fashion or retail environment.
· Experience in B2C channels is a plus.
· Proven track record of working with suppliers and managing stock levels.
· Fluency in English is a must; Dutch and German highly advantageous.

· Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues in the supply chain and implement effective solutions to improve product flow and stock availability.
· ERP & Retail Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, Excel and retail analytics tools.
· Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, including buying, and reporting, in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail when managing stock levels, analyzing sales data, and tracking product performance.
· Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial metrics, including margins, markups, and inventory turnover, and their impact on profitability.
· Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and business needs.
