Functie eisen

As travelers, we expect more and more from our transportation providers. We seek optimal support from door to door, considering alternative modes of transportation such as scooters, bicycles, shared cars, in addition to the usual buses, trains, and subways. It's well-known that this presents a challenge within the Netherlands. However, in a world where sustainable international travel is becoming increasingly common, we encounter the issue that each country adheres to a different communication standard. All transportation providers need to be able to communicate with each other to provide door to door transportation options.

This challenge becomes even more significant when it needs to cross national borders. The result? Numerous diverse communication standards arise, mostly aiming to address the same issue. What standards currently exist and how do they relate to each other? Is there a way to efficiently support them? You'll be delving into these questions.

Your task is to examine various standards (such as TOMP, ODSM, TRIAS, and GTFS) in terms of their value and overlap, and devise an approach through which a multi-modal travel planner can seamlessly handle these different standards. This solution should provide integration options on both the transportation provider's side and for a travel planner, making it easy for travelers and transportation companies to synchronize with each other.
