The department provides department specific knowledge and expertise and takes up leading roles in all marine and subsea issues in order to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy. The department will operate proactively and reactively, fully focussed, open minded, communicative and in a driver seat attitude.
About the jobWe are looking for a Marine Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing marine support to our FPSOs and base personnel. You will foster a collaborative environment, working closely with Asset Managers and project teams to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining corporate marine policies and manuals
- Providing expert advice on marine issues affecting offshore installations
- Supporting tender and project operations with valuable marine input
- Contributing to the design and development of future FPSO projects
- Staying up-to-date on maritime regulations, industry standards, and incorporating best practices within Bluewater
- When required, you will provide offshore support on board of F(P)SO’s to back up regular offshore staff
You’ll report to the Department Head, Marine & Subsea Support, and work closely with colleagues across the business to support Bluewater’s goals.
RequirementsWe are seeking a proactive, analytical, and persuasive Marine Superintendent with strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own work efficiently. You will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a Nautical College and a Master’s certificate in competency
- 5-10 years of experience in crude oil tankers and offshore operations
- Knowledge of tanker operations and dynamic positioning (DP)
- Engineering COW certificate and DP certificate
- The flexibility and willingness to travel as needed
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
