MM Flowers is a dynamic and rapidly growing company supplying fresh flowers and bouquets to the retail sector in the UK and Europe. We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team! Do you want to play a key role in a fast-paced logistics environment? Then this is your chance!
Your Role
As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistical planning, supply, storage, and delivery of raw materials and finished goods to site. Your role ensures an efficient and effective plan against daily, weekly, annual forecasts and targets, in addition to managing the loading team and intake teams. You will be responsible for monitoring and communicating logistics activities to senior operations and planning teams to align with the business strategy and drive world-class operational performance.
Your Responsibilities
- Stakeholder & Customer Management: Be the main point of contact for all primary and non-primary hauliers.
- Logistics Planning: Work closely with Planning and Commercial teams to manage inbound and outbound logistics, including peak strategy planning.
- Performance Monitoring: Provide concise analysis of plan vs. forecast and report on KPIs such as availability, costs, and service levels.
- Process Improvement: Identify and propose cost-saving projects within the supply chain.
- 3PL Management: Lead the coordination and management of 3PL storage and distribution.
- Compliance: Ensure up-to-date knowledge of Brexit/export/import regulations and manage POD tracking and resolution.
- Team Leadership: Set objectives for the team, manage training programs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Operational Efficiency: Improve distribution KPIs, including pallet fill rates, load accuracy, and ASN accuracy.
Your Profile
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in logistics planning and supply chain management.
- Experience in managing inbound and outbound logistics.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-changing environments.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience with ERP and WMS systems in Supply Chain Management or Warehouse & Storage.
- Experience in the FMCG or fresh produce industry.
- 3-5 years of management experience
