We are looking for a Linux engineer for an amazing trading company in Amsterdam! You will be part of a team which builds tools to monitor trading operations, and will work closely with traders, researchers and engineers.
You'll be responsible for managing systems and databases across all trading teams, making sure they run smoothly in day-to-day operations.

- Oversee system performance, stability and uptime;
- Manage Postgres databases;
- Automate the environment and test new technologies;
- Architect, implement, maintain and monitor the comany's intercontinental production environment;
- Address potential failures and bottlenecks to proactively prevent obstacles;
This is a great permanent role in Amsterdam, with a base salary of 65K-80K plus lucrative profit sharing. Aside from the base salary there will be many other secondary benefits which we'd be happy to discuss over a phone call.
How we'll proceed. Within four working days we will let you know if you qualify for the position. We will schedule an introductory interview, either digitally or in-person. During this interview we will inform you as fully as possible about the vacancy, the company and the following steps in the procedure. Functie eisen
* 2-5 years of experience managing infrastructure and software support and working with Linux;* Familiar with PostgreSQL, knowledge of query optimisation;
* Familiar with tooling and best practices regarding change, life cycle and incident management, as well as health and performance monitoring of production systems;
* Proficient with scripting (bash, python);
* Quick at analysing issues and uncovering their root causes;
* Strong communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience;
