Job Description
Yacht Life Sciences has a vacancy for a LIMS Specialist QC to work within the Quality department, Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden.
In this position, you are responsible for configuring the LIMS to the laboratory needs, following documented specifications and protocols. You will play an important role in translating testing requirements into LIMS configuration. As a LIMS specialist you act as a bridge between the product managers, laboratory technicians and the LIMS system.
An HBO/BSc degree or equivalent is required in combination with broad knowledge and experience with GMP. Furthermore, you need to be able to manage multiple issues, organize activities, prioritize and maintain clear line of communication within the multidisciplinary teams.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the translation of technical documents into LIMS requirements.
- Responsible for configuring the LIMS for testing.
- Acts as a bridge between the product managers and the LIMS.
- Acts as a liaison between the technicians and the LIMS.
- Solving (ad hoc) LIMS problems as they arise.

Job requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Life Sciences or Computer Sciences.
- Minimal 2 years of work experience in Pharma with GMP and automation skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience with LIMS Laboratory Experience is a plus.
- Ability to engage with personnel at all levels within the organization, to build and maintain fruitful relationships.
- Written and oral communication skills in English. Dutch is desirable

We offer a challenging position which allows you to work in a dynamic and international environment, ensuring diversity in your work and creating plenty of opportunities for personal development.
This concerns a secondment contract via Yacht with an initial assignment for one year at Johnson & Johnson, with a possibility of extension. We will offer a competitive benefit package in line with the seniority of the position, with a salary between 2800 and 3850 euro gross per 4-week period (based on full-time employment).
Working full-time, 40 hours p/w is preferred.
Min. 2 days per week working on-site.
