For Nike we are looking for an experienced accountant. In this role you will be responsible for lead, close and consolidations. Do you have a lot of experience and have you always wanted to work for Nike? This is your chance.

who are you

For this role we are looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field;
  • 6+ years of experience in finance or accounting;
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred (or local equivalent);
  • Technical accounting knowledge;
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred (or local equivalent).
what will you do

In this role you are responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the close & consolidations activities within the Geo for specific areas within the balance sheet and profit & loss and support the SEC program. Areas of responsibility related to: cash, intercompany, VAT, foreign currency, close & consolidation related activities, and other value streams (as needed). Serves as the point of contact for business partners related to month-end close operations and to support the S4 go-live program for EMEA.

Below you will find more of your tasks:

  • Support EMEA’s S4 implementation (not exhaustive) for example thru active participation in meetings, speaking up, UAT testing, balance sheet clean-up prior to conversion, etc;
  • Support month-end close accounting process in the Close & Consolidations team across the following key areas - consolidations, cash/bank, intercompany, and FX/VAT;
  • Support with month-end & quarter-end close processes, including but not limited to reviewing/approving journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, balance sheet review (BSR) and P&L review, and/or other quarterly deliverables (as needed) to globa
  • Collaborates with business partners (e.g., FP&A) to review/analyze monthly actual results against forecast;
  • Work with 3rd party outsourcing company who supports our R2R transactional work, and provide support / resolve issues as they arise with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Identify opportunities in processes and follow these thru to understand if opportunity exists in S4 go-live.

Your key partners in this role are: Global Controlling, Business Partners in Finance, Legal, Procurement, HR, Financial Governance and Controles.
