Calypso is the system responsible mainly for the Back Office operations that enables crucial commercial activities of ING. Tens of thousands of trades are being processed in real time by our systems every hour. Flawless processing or immediate correction are key as trades covering billions of euros are passing through our systems each day.
The team
The Calypso Global Team is an experienced, international and flexible team. Together with your team you will work on strategic projects that are keeping ING up to date with the latest Financial Market Standards while constantly improving the system.
Calypso current technology stack:
- Calypso v17, Java, Spring
- Oracle
- Work with Product Owner to understand and refine functional specifications and how they translate into application features.
- Use Calypso, Java and other supporting tools to build the requested features.
- Work on strategic projects and coordinate with other IT teams. Be able to take a leading role when needed.
- Be
- part of a DevOps teams in global Calypso and interact, support business users and stakeholders within different geographic locations of ING.
- Provide recommendations and help improve development tools and processes
- Apply Agile methodology and work in bi-weekly sprints to achieve efficient results in projects.
- You bring seniority to the team and share your knowledge and best practices with the ING Calypso community.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years Calypso experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Calypso back office (message setups, trades, transfers, workflows, accounting).
- Java hands-on programming knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of payments processing.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to design end to end solutions.
- Eagerness to learn new things and getting involved in complex projects.
- Ability to communicate well with business users and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Treasury main activities.
- Experience with Java 8 and higher versions.
- Experience in multi-location teams.
- Functional Product Experience with Financial Markets like Money Market, FX and Securities products.
- Project coordination skills.
- Experience in Agile Way of working, Scrum etc.
- PL/SQL knowledge.
