Informatie
Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.
Location: Visp (Switzerland)
Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.
In the idyllic town of Visp we are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control team and analyse our biopharmaceutical products using a variety of physico-chemical techniques (e.g. UV, pH, Karl Fischer Titration, conductivity testing, turbidity and colour measurement) according to GMP guidelines. Do you want to join a young and international team? Apply today!
- An agile career and dynamic working culture
- An inclusive and ethical workplace
- Compensation programs that recognize high performance
- Along with competitive salaries, you’ll find a wide range of lifestyle, family and leisure benefits available. Depending on your location, these benefits could include family allowances, childcare support, discounts for local businesses and attractions, travel allowances and subsidized meals
- As a member of our Quality Control team, you are responsible for carrying out analytical testing of batches and stability studies with a focus on physico-chemical techniques (e.g. UV, Karl Fischer Titration, pH)
- You work according to GMP, in addition to practical laboratory work, also carry out the necessary administrative activities, such as documenting or releasing results
- At the same time, you support laboratory maintenance and ensure that the laboratory is clean and tidy
- The varied responsibilities also include close partnership with other QC units, improvement projects and troubleshooting
- Apprenticeship as chemical or biochemical laboratory technician, BSc, CTA or similar education
- Hands-on laboratory experience
- Work experience in a GMP environment in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus
- You are independent, diligent and responsible and have good communication and collaboration skills
- You are fluent in either English OR German with basic skills in the respective other language (plus you are willing to improve the respective other language – we offer free language courses!)
Inclusion is one of Lonza’s four core values, alongside integrity, innovation and initiative. We understand the value of our differences and the benefits they bring to our company, community and culture. We also recognize the value of every person’s contribution, regardless of characteristics, preferences and beliefs – including race, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and religion.
Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people. For us, this is not only a great privilege, but also a great responsibility. How we achieve our business results is just as important as the achievements themselves. At Lonza, we respect and protect our people and our environment. Any success we achieve is no success at all if not achieved ethically.
People come to Lonza for the challenge and creativity of solving complex problems and developing new ideas in life sciences. In return, we offer the satisfaction that comes with improving lives all around the world. The satisfaction that comes with making a meaningful difference.
