Are you able to motivate and lead a group of people? Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Then we need you! As a Junior Team Lead at Picnic, you’ll be responsible for guiding, motivating, and training our warehouse team members (or Shoppers as we call them at Picnic). You’ll help to create a happy working environment at our new, state-of-the-art Distribution Centre in Geldermalsen.
🏢 What’s happening in our Distribution Centres?Every day, we collect thousands of groceries in our Distribution Centres (DCs). In our DC Geldermalsen, we will focus on Fruit and vegetables as the product. The Fruit and vegetables are then sent to our Fulfilment Centre's throughout the country. From there they are delivered via our last mile delivery location (hubs) to our customers using our electric Picnic vehicles. In our DC, there could be more than 100 employees working per day, with everyone contributing to an on-time and efficient service. Shoppers are responsible for collecting the groceries, and a Junior Team Lead is responsible for a group of shoppers.
🥜 In a nutshellAs a Junior Team Lead, you are the fore(wo)man of your team of Shoppers. You are responsible to guide, motivate and train the team you are working with. This is an operational role where we expect you to lead by example by performing typical Shopper activities, just like any other team member! You also have the extra responsibility to keep the process running smoothly and the area clean and safe. Are you up for a new challenge, this is your chance!
🎯 What you’ll do- Lead by example: work together with the team on shopper activities
- Guide a team of 5-10 shoppers
- Take responsibility for your area and team, making sure it’s safe, clean and productive
- Motivate and provide feedback to the shoppers on your shift
- You like to help your colleagues improve their knowledge and skills
- You take responsibility easily and enjoy taking care of an area
- Available for a minimum of 32 hours
- Fixed weekly schedule
- Available on at least one weekend day per week
- Fluency in English
- A gross starting salary of 15.58 (including 8% holiday pay)
- 25 vacation days per year, based on a full-time contract
