About the role
This Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for defining, implementing and monitoring of Occupational Health and Safety requirements in any Bluewater office/facility in the Netherlands (ARBO) and provide support to the foreign offices/facilities. You are focussed on the following four main areas:
You will maintain an adequate Emergency Response (HERO) organisation in the Head office.
You are the primary contact for all OHS-related matters (Arbo Coordinator) for internal and external parties.
Furthermore, you will:
- Conduct statutory Risk Assessments (RI&E) and create Action Plans to address identified risks.
- Manage the registration and reporting of accidents, incidents, near-misses, and observations.
- Conduct incident investigations as necessary.
- Coordinate and plan Emergency Response exercises and training, ensuring teams are prepared.
- Maintain and update Emergency Response plans and procedures, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Support operational readiness of Emergency Response, including maintaining emergency equipment.
- Provide guidance on healthy workspace assessments and take on the role of Prevention Officer.
- Offer advisory services and deliver training, including preparing relevant training materials.
- Support internal OHS-related projects, including permit applications and human factors/work environment assessments.
- Act as an HSE representative for internal projects and provide regular reports on OHS, incident, and HERO status to the Section Head of HSE.
You will be based in our Hoofddorp office, but you may occasionally need to perform activities abroad (on- and/or offshore), such as at our Aberdeen office, a project site, or on our vessels.
RequirementsWe Are Looking For Someone with:
- Fluent in Dutch and English both written and spoken.
- Willingness to perform activities abroad.
- Over 5 years of experience in relevant environment.
- Experience with OHS (ARBO) legislation and requirements of main regulatory bodies.
- MVK (Middelbare Veiligheidskunde) or equivalent certification
- Preferably with BHV experience and experience as Prevention Officer.
