Floormanager - Zum Barbarossa

Zum Barbarossa is a speakeasy cocktail bar, hidden in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam. Our guests come here for unique cocktails, great food, and an intimate, exclusive atmosphere. As Floormanager, you’ll ensure that each evening runs smoothly for both our guests and your team. You’ll oversee everything, from daily operations to private events.

• Salary: €2800 to €3200 per month (depending on experience).

• Tips: Approximately €700 per month (full-time).

• Vacation days: 26 per year.

• Work schedule: Wednesday to Sunday.

As Floormanager at Zum Barbarossa, you’ll be the go-to person for both the team and our guests. You’ll keep daily operations running smoothly and make sure we maintain high service and quality standards. You’ll work closely with your team to create new signature cocktails and jump behind the bar on busy nights to shake them up to perfection. You’re a leader who not only keeps things on track but also leads by example. Along with the General Manager, you’ll keep the bar running, taking responsibility for the following:

• Overseeing daily operations and ensuring guests have a fantastic experience.

• Creating staff schedules and making sure the team works well together.

• Coordinating private events and reservations.

• Managing inventory and placing orders.

• Training and motivating staff to deliver top-notch service.

• Solving any issues quickly and efficiently, both on the floor and behind the scenes.
  

With your leadership and creative input, you’ll make sure every evening is a success, maintaining the unique atmosphere of Zum Barbarossa.

You have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and you're a real team player with a creative twist. With your hands-on mentality and ability to multitask in a busy environment, you always keep things under control. Additionally, you are:

• Experienced (at least 2 years) in a leadership role in hospitality, preferably in an exclusive bar or cocktail environment.

• Skilled at shaking and developing cocktails.

• Flexible and available from Wednesday to Sunday, including evenings/nights.

• Living in (or near) Amsterdam.

• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

The Basics:

• Salary of €2800 to €3200 per month (depending on experience).

• Quarterly bonus scheme.

• Monthly tips averaging €700.
