The Assignment: The Financial Controller we are looking for plays a crucial role in ensuring the execution of financial planning, actuals, closing, and reporting for the assigned units. You will work closely with the Financial Shared Services team, which is responsible for providing "finance actuals and closing services."

In this role, you will be the main point of contact for the Finance Business Partner, working directly with budget holders to support the budgeting and forecasting process. With your strong analytical skills, you will translate financial data into valuable insights, which you will use for financial planning, actuals, and reporting activities, while leveraging the latest digital tools.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the balance sheet and reconciling the assigned entities. You will prepare planning figures based on top-down guidance and ensure that all agreed services with the Financial Shared Services team are delivered as expected. You will also support monthly management reports, cash flow analyses, and reporting related to ROCE (Return on Capital Employed), ROE (Return on Equity), debt, and equity.

Moreover, you will analyze production costs, variances in manufacturing performance, inventories, and CAPEX. You will provide insights and analyses for actuals, forecasts, and budgets, and help set up relevant allocation cycles in SAP. Finally, you will ensure the submission of all necessary information for journal entries to the shared service center and contribute to the internal control framework by following up on improvement plans.

Requirements
We are looking for a Financial Controller with the following profile:

• A (post-)Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling;
• At least 4 years of experience in Accounting/Controlling/Audit;
• In-depth knowledge of financial and accounting processes;
• Experience in a Shared Service environment;
• Familiarity with various ERP systems;
• Intermediate in Dutch and English, both written and spoken; It is preferable that you have knowledge of French or the German language
• For this job it is important that you live in our around Maastricht
