Field Service Engineer (Mechanical)

As a Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for the commissioning of new installations, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, inspections, and providing training. Long-term relationships with our customers are our top priority. In this role, you are the company's representative. Thanks to your all-around technical experience, you can help customers quickly and efficiently with problems. You do not give up until the job is completed to the customer's satisfaction. You are also able to explain our machines and systems in an inspiring and clear manner.

You report to a supervisor and work closely with various departments. In this role, you will travel both nationally and internationally.

• Conducting service visits on-site at customers for installation, commissioning, emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training.
  
  
• Communicating and reporting effectively to solve customer issues efficiently.
  
  
• Providing technical support to customers via phone and email, including technical support outside office hours and on weekends according to a set schedule.
  
  
• Documenting all service activities timely and accurately.
  
  
• Participating in cross-training and cross-functional teams with other Duravant companies.

Over jouAbout You

• MBO diploma in welding, metalworking, electromechanics, or a similar field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components.
• Good knowledge of welding (MIG/MAG/TIG), mechanical techniques such as drilling, grinding, and bearing replacement.
• Practical experience with forklifts and aerial work platforms (and possession of certification) is a plus.
• Ability to handle complex technical information about mechanics and electronics, including reading schematics.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a valid passport, and be able to travel/work within the EU.
• Experience and ability to travel extensively, up to 70%, including overnight stays if necessary, and some weekends away from home. Occasional international travel may be required.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• You are self-motivated, professional, energetic, positive, and disciplined to perform under work pressure.
