Experienced Lead Electro Mechanical Engineer

ASML is a Dutch high-tech company and a key supplier of chip-making machines like steppers and scanners. Based in Veldhoven, it handles R&D, assembly, and supports clients with 60 service centers across 14 countries. Founded as a joint venture of ASM International and Philips, ASML serves global clients, mostly in Asia (66% of 2011 revenue), the U.S. (25%), and Europe (9%). Its largest customer accounted for 25% of revenue. Zeiss, its main supplier of lenses, represents nearly 30% of ASML’s procurement costs. The two maintain a strategic alliance requiring a three-year notice for termination. ASML heavily invests in R&D.

The Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the following:

• Specify, design (3D and 2D), document and maintain mechanical requirements of the various electrical & electro-mechanical modules. This in line with international standards on electrical safety and EMC.
• Generate and discuss volume files with other departments
• Impact analysis and implementation of engineering changes into the products.
• Maintain high quality level by organizing reviews of own work and participating in reviews from other designers.
• Make a personal work breakdown and planning as part of a project.
• Operate in a multidisciplinary team, representing the electrical team in several multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Definition and configuration management of the Technical Product Documentation.
• Key electro-mechanical Engineer contact person
• Rack design knowledge
• Generate Technical Product Documentation for racks boards etc.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Requirements:

• 8+ year experience as electro-mechanical designer, including experience with multidisciplinary module design (e.g. wiring harnesses and sheet metal)
• Experience in 3D and 2D CAD design of complex products, preferably experience with 3D and 2D CAD in Siemens NX.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical concepts, wiring concepts and connectivity concepts.
• Experience with working in multidisciplinary design teams
• ​​​​​​​Familiar with SAFe - Agile wow is a plus
