About the role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support Bluewater in harnessing the power of data to drive business success. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in identifying, prioritizing, and executing data use cases that deliver value to the business. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data systems that transform raw data into actionable insights, enabling data analysts and stewards to utilize the information effectively.
In this role you will be responsible for design, implement, and maintain Bluewater’s data architecture. You will select and tailor appropriate technologies to meet organizational needs and develop scalable storage solutions capable of handling large datasets. You will collect and integrate data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and integrity and manage data flow using cloud platforms like Azure.
You will need to convert raw data into structured, usable formats and automate data transformation processes. Apply machine learning techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, and correlations within the data. It is important that you have a drive to stay up to date with current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. You will continuously enhance skills in programming languages (e.g., C#), distributed systems (e.g., Azure), and databases (e.g., SQL Server).
You will work closely with the other IT disciplines and collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders to define KPIs and improve business information delivery.
RequirementsWe Are Looking For
A Data Engineer with strong communication and technical skills, as well as a creative and innovative mindset. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business process discipline.
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong teamwork abilities.
- A systematic and creative approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies is a plus.
- A neat and structured working style, with the ability to test and validate your own work.
- Proficiency in relevant applications such as Power BI, SQL Server, and Power Query.
- Experience with SSIS and Fabric is desirable.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, etc.), with relevant certifications preferred
- Technical expertise in data models and database design.
