Next to this, you will monitor several data centers from a central control room, ensuring quick response and minimum recovery time from failures. You will also troubleshoot problems, do repairs on critical equipment, and supervise contractors to deliver quality service.
You'll work in an international environment in the northern part of the Netherlands. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.Responsibilities
- Perform data center maintenance and (complex) repair tasks in the Controls/Automation Domain: Power Monitoring System (PMS), Building Monitoring System (BMS), Servers and IT infrastructure Control and Monitoring Systems, Operational Monitoring Systems.
- Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the process.
- Support commissioning, startup, and integration of new equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
- Follow, improve and develop templates for system analysis, diagnostic, preventive maintenance, and trend logs for data center critical facilities systems.
- Inspect, maintain and repair various data center systems such as servers, network equipment, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), system administration, access control, alarm investigation, and SCADA management.
