FP Engineering is a small, multi-disciplinary team within Floating Production, providing engineering and construction services to Bluewater’s operational FPSOs. Based in Hoofddorp, the team serves as the second line of engineering support. While asset teams, located in base offices, are dedicated to individual FPSOs and handle day-to-day matters, FP Engineering focuses on addressing technical queries (Offshore Queries) and preparing modifications (RMs) to hull and topsides.

As a Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the engineering output for the construction work scope of modification requests, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, budget, and planning. In collaboration with the Offshore Construction Supervisor, you will identify labour, materials, tools, and services, as well as develop the execution strategy for offshore construction works.

Your duties will include assisting in answering OQs and the drafting, checking, and completion of Offshore Work Packages (OWPs) to support offshore construction activities. You will also assist in the preparation of work orders and purchase requests in Maximo. In case work is subcontracted to third parties, you will act as focal point.

You will ensure that all deliverables meet the specified quality standards. Additionally, you will act as the administrator/coordinator for the distribution and filing of close-out packages and related internal/external correspondence for specific works. This includes reviewing, editing, approving, compiling, and accepting as-built documentation and correspondence. You will ensure thorough document review with the support of discipline engineers within FP Engineering, HSEQ&RC, and the asset team.

Requirements

An Engineer with strong communication skills and keen attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
  • Engineering, or Marine Engineering, or a Technical College (MBO) diploma supplemented with relevant training and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in preparing offshore construction works.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
