In this dynamic position, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of crucial tasks across all project phases-development, establishment, and realization. Here's what you'll be doing:
- **Lead Civil Activities**: Take charge of all civil-related activities, ensuring that projects run smoothly from inception to completion.
- **Facilitate Interfaces**: Be the vital link between civil and other disciplines, orchestrating seamless collaboration across the board.
- **Deliver Quality Engineering Outputs**: Coordinate the preparation of civil engineering deliverables, upholding the highest standards of excellence.
- **Navigate Permitting Processes**: Your expertise will contribute significantly to the preparation of necessary permits that keep projects on track.
- **Site Management Expertise**: Oversee site preparation, demolition, and soil decontamination, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- **Support Procurement Efforts**: Get involved in the procurement process by preparing Invitation to Tender sections, evaluating bids, and actively participating in negotiations.
- **Contract Management**: Conduct thorough reviews of civil engineering documents to ensure they meet contractual obligations and project requirements.
- **Manage External Partnerships**: Collaborate with external engineering partners, including structural engineers, fire protection experts, and soil investigation specialists, to ensure project integrity.
- **Uphold Quality Standards**: Tailor applicable quality standards to fit the specific needs of each project, fostering a culture of excellence.

A great hybride fulltime (40h/week) assignment in Amsterdam for the period of ten months (starting from 3th of Februari 2025 until 31st of December 2025). Functie eisen
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate who meets the following criteria:- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical qualifications from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction sectors, particularly in industrial environments, with a preference for experience in the oil & gas or energy industries.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, demonstrating strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering, supported by significant practical experience in the execution of civil scopes for industrial process engineering plants.
- A self-starting attitude with a strong commitment to health and safety practices, including safety in design.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in the Netherlands twice a week, specifically to the Rotterdam harbour and Leiden areas.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships between clients and contractors.
- Familiarity with managing contaminated soils and navigating complex subsoils.
