For Somfy Belgium, we are looking for an energetic and enterprising Business Development Manager (BDM) with a proactive and results-driven approach, specializing in Window Fashion. As a key member of our Belgium team you will play a pivotal role in achieving our objectives by implementing strategic initiatives tailored to the PRO channel. This involves a multifaceted approach, including the identification and capitalization of business opportunities. The primary sales channels for this role are the Professional channel and traditional outlets, which encompass manufacturers, assemblers and Experts. As the BDM, you will strategically engage with these channels to drive business growth and maximize market penetration.
As the Business Development Manager Window Fashion, you serve as the central liaison between our Back Office team and external trainer, facilitating a seamless exchange of technical expertise, commercial drive, and market insights. This tripartite collaboration empowers us to adopt a unified and flexible approach to market penetration, leveraging technical knowledge, sales strategies, and market intelligence to effectively engage customers and foster sustainable growth.

Functie eisen
- Achieves the PRO Channel sales budget through expanding and developing a customer portfolio by acquiring new customers within existing and new market segments;
- Analyzes the market by inventorying accounts and drawing up prospect plans, achieving action plans after validation by management:
- a. Collects, interprets, and shares market information including customers, competitors, and potential other channels/customers.
- b. Monitors market developments and provides timely responses, such as regarding product developments of competitors.
- c. Analyzes market information and proposes expansion options (new business opportunities) in the Window Fashion sector.
- Advises on market developments and trends in Window Fashion as input for the company's strategy;
- Maintains relationships with customers by providing timely and comprehensive information about Somfy products or services and preparing proposals on new opportunities;
- Provides input (market share, price evolution, and sales budget) for the annual budget process of the company, specifically focused on the Window Fashion segment;
- Analyzes the volume, turnover, product portfolio, and margin developments per Window Fashion customer and shares this information internally with the departments involved.
