As Business Development Manager Energy your job is to monetise smart charging our electric vehicles by closing agreements with utilities, energy companies and marketplaces across Europe. You ensure both commercially and technically smooth integrations with those actors, so that the EV owners can earn an income with smart charging.
You will work closely with our clients across Europe and our Sales, Operations and IT teams to help build and scale an awesome product and ensure our clients achieve their goals. You'll be part of an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within our team, with a common goal to improve our product and build out the company's foundations. The tech is fascinating, you help shape it. If you have a better way of doing things, we want to hear it. Responsibilities include:
Strategic Planning and Market Analysis
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities within the energy sector, including renewable energy, oil & gas, or utilities;
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs;
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Relationship building with Clients and the Market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies;
- Build trust by demonstrating expertise, helping address any pain-points and identifying opportunities for growth;
- Present the economic gains with Deftpower entails to both clients and the Market.
Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue growth by acquiring new partners for smart charging, increasing smart charging revenue;
- Develop and present proposals, bids, and contracts tailored to client needs.
Project Development and Execution
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and technical teams to develop feasible energy solutions;
- Lead negotiations on project terms, pricing, and contracts;
- Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with client expectations and timelines.

Functie eisen
We are looking for a candidate that feels the need to improve the life of our customers and has the persuasion skills and grit to go deep.
- Somebody that is bold, goal oriented, a good relationship buir and gets things done;
- Proven track record in business development in the energy sector;
- Knowledge of the electric vehicle charging industry and associated technologies is a bonus;
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team;
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales management platforms;
- German and/or French language skills are a bonus.
You reside near Berlin or Arnhem. This is not a remote position.
