Context of the position
The job is part of the ASML finance organization, within the Business Insights and Control team. The financial data analyst reports to the Manager Business Control Planning & Delivery within the Business Insights and Control department.

Job Mission
The freight & duties controller within Business Insights and Control is responsible for providing transparency in actuals and accurate forecasting of ASML’s highly variable freight & duty costs. As you will act with business and have technical content, a financial profile with analytical skills is vital.
Job Description
As business controller you are responsible for driving our business through efficient and effective financial reporting and analysis on our Freight and Duty costs. You work closely together with cost analysts and freight experts in the business to understand drivers, validate business cases and make driver-based forecasts.
Team responsibility
Together with the team you are responsible for:
- Translating financial and non/financial data on logistics into business driven and transparent forecasts together with the business teams
- Connecting business drivers with financial outcomes
- Providing proactive support to finance teams as well as business teams.
- Providing input into and drive improvement projects
Functie-eisen
Education
Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in the area of Business Economics or Analytics. Most important, you understand financial data and are able to convey the message behind it.
Experience
You have 4-9 years of relevant experience. You understand good flows and preferably have experience with logistics. Most important; you know how to involve people in your story in convincing them of your findings. You are thrilled to come up with new ways to analyze and translate that into actionable insights. You have experience with presenting to senior stakeholders, are acquainted with dashboarding software and proficient in excel.
Personal skills
Result oriented, team player, profound analytical skills. Personality which can connect with relevant stakeholders in a demanding and highly technology driven organization.
Other important skills are:
- You solve problems with the long term and global solution in mind
- You are able to map processes and drive improvement
- Able to translate findings into business-driven actions as different stakeholder levels
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
