The After Sales Section within Bluewater, is responsible for providing service to clients for any system or product supplied by Bluewater. The section consists of ten engineers.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.

About the job

As After Sales engineer you will engage with clients in technical assistance, support and the provision of spares throughout the lifetime of offshore installations. You will be responsible for the coordination of projects in an appropriate and efficient way.

You will have to deploy and gain experience on technical and commercial topics.

Your main activities consist of:

  • Responding to client requests, ranging from the supply of spares to technical advice and inspection visits.
  • Managing projects, this may vary from the supply of a tiny ball valve to the overhaul of a complete swivel stack. An Aftersales Engineer manages the complete project from the proposal phase up to ensuring the final payment is received.
  • Maintaining client relations and signaling opportunities. Visiting Bluewater Offshore installations all over the world on average 4 times a year with a maximum period of 2 weeks.
  • Solving bottlenecks and change your approach if things are not working, you keep an eye on the balance between quality and costs and you are creative and committed to turn opportunities into results.
  • Update and share knowledge on existing Bluewater systems and share this within the relevant departments.

You will be working from our office in Hoofddorp.

Requirements
  • You have (as a minimum) a relevant Vocational Degree (MBO 4).
  • Work experience in the Oil and Gas industry is a big advantage.
    Working experience in international environments like shipping, yards or construction is preferred.
  • You are computer literate on standard office applications.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • You are able and willing to travel abroad including to offshore installations.
  • You are flexible and creative when supporting clients in finding solutions.
  • You appreciate working in an international environment and appreciate cultural differences.
  • You are a practical person but days in the office searching through documents to determine a solution can also be satisfying.
